Police Blotter: Reports of shots fired, shoplifting, drug possession
Braintree Police are investigating after responding to reports of shots fired Tuesday night.
Police said there were no injuries reported or discovered.
Officers responded to four or five gunshots around 8:18 p.m. in the area of Alfred Road and Joseph Road.
Police believe suspects fled the area soon after the shooting, and they did not provide any suspect descriptions.
Detectives collected ballistics evidence at the scene and identified “an apparent gunshot defect” in a house in the area that hit but did not penetrate inside the residence.
Police remained in the area for several hours after the shooting and continued patrols overnight.
Braintree Police Department is asking local residents to review any security footage they have from the time of the shooting and to come forward with any information.
